Regional Sales Manager

Summary: Responsible for all sales activities within assigned territory/accounts, including forecasting, achieving forecast, development of sales opportunities and establishment of proper representative channels. Ensure each territory/account has proper distribution channels and training. Responsible for sales of filtration and physical water treatment product lines within the territory/accounts with the objective of sales growth, distribution development, and profits within these accounts. Manage the planning, promotion, training and selling of LAKOS Separators and Superior Water Conditioners in the Groundwater, Residential, Irrigation & Municipal markets. Moderate travel is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales goals for assigned territory
  • Maintain contact and enhance relations with all assigned accounts
  • Analyze distribution. Recruit and successfully on-board and/or replace distribution.
  • Strategize specific market development and opportunities with each distributor
  • Create a marketing plan for distribution that includes competition, pricing, market share in key growth areas
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with representatives or end users on all special projects
  • Conduct in-person and/or web-based training for distributors, developers, contractors, engineers
  • Effectively introduce new products to distribution
  • Maintain warranty records to monitor possible product problems
  • Plan sales travel as required
  • Participate in Market-specific trade shows and events
  • Maintain, monitor and update CRM software
  • Distribute and manage sales leads and opportunities
  • Maintain presence within appropriate social networking and trade organizations

Requirements/Specification for position:

  • At least 5 years of Outside Sales experience
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Associate/Bachelors Degree preferably in Business, Engineering and/or Marketing
  • Ability to travel as needed to support the customer base and forecast
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude is required
